Noticias celebrates its 10th anniversary from Dec. 16th thru 18th at the Melkweg and OT301 (Overtoom 301) in Amsterdam. Friday and Saturday will be a two-day festival at OT301 with Latin American movies and documentaries, workshops, a talkshow and live music and DJs.

A day of making live radio, thinking about the role of social movements in Latin America or playing Patchanka music during several workshops. Latin food will be served and there'll be a talkshow where the audience can exchange their thoughts with journalists and media activists from
The Netherlands and Latin America. After live performances by bands Cimarra en Mala Vita there'll be dancing till late in la noche…

'Social movements in Latin America - What can I do?' Speakers from X-Y Solidarity Fund, Friends of MST, HIJOS, ICCO, SBID, Stedenband Tilburg-Matagalpa and Ojalá will debate and think about solidarity campaigns and strategies for social movements. Moderator: Kees Hudig.
16.00 - 17.45 Patchanka Workshop.
'¡Patchanka! Experience Latin crossover music'
Mickael Boshuijer (Mala Vita), DJ Eduardo (¿Que Pasa?, Melkweg) and DJ Samba Soun' (¿Que Pasa?) explain the backgrounds of Patchanka and lead you in a live session.

Special guest: Marcela Ferrer
A Columbian human rights activist and a member of OFP, the Women's Popular Organization, Marcela Ferrer has been invited by Amnesty International and is currently touring The Netherlands to promote the "Women to Fight For" campaign and will talk about her work.
