Most recently, following Mr. Straw's remarks, Islamophobic incidents are surging across the UK, one of the most ethnically diverse countries in the world.

Ms. Ahmad was born in England to Pakistani parents. She recently moved to the United States after spending five years working for the BBC.
Also Dr. Elahe Enssani will discuss the recent detention and deportation of Iranian scholars by officials from US Customs and Border Protection at San Francisco International Airport. Dr. Enssani is Professor of Civil Engineering at San Francisco State University and an Immigrant Rights Commissioner in the City and County of San Francisco.
